What is Cruisin for a Cause?
Cruisin for a Cause is Ontario ARC's only major annual fundraiser and all proceeds from the event support the agency's Recreation Program. In its 18th year, Cruisin' for a Cause has become one of the largest and most exciting events in Ontario County, NY.
Tell me about the Recreation Program.
The Recreation Program offers children and adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience a wide variety of fun athletic and entertainment activities. Participants have the chance to attend dinner dances, movie nights, bingo, bowling, Kids Day, and join Special Olympics' teams for a dose of healthy competition.
Recreation is one of the most important programs that Ontario ARC offers. Not only does it offer individuals a more balanced life, it can also increase self esteem and boost confidence.
When is it?
This year, Ontario ARC is holding its 18th annual Cruisin' for a Cause on Thursday, August 19, 2010 under the tent at Steamboat Landing.

Don't come with a full stomach! Enjoy a delicious menu of pulled pork, chicken tenders, cold salads, corn bread, along with complimentary wines courtesy of Constellation Brands.
Relax to the rhythm of Caribbean Extravaganza from 5-7 p.m. Then, get ready to dance the night away with
Nik and the Nice Guys from 8-11 p.m. We also have three cruises available aboard the
Canandaigua Lady.*

How can I help?
There are three ways you can help us make a difference in the lives of people with developmental disabilities:
Attend Cruisin' for a Cause and don't feel guilty about enjoying yourself! All proceeds go towards a great cause. Tickets are $60 each and can be purchased by contacting Allison Cassara or Donna Auria.
Volunteer your time and help us make this Cruisin' for a Cause one to remember. Volunteers must be 16 years and older. Contact Ginny Kellogg to learn about how you can help us, help others.
