What is the Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth?
Ontario ARC hosts its annual Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth at Eastview Mall in Victor during the busy holiday season. The booth is located near the center of the mall near J.Crew. Now in its 16th year, the booth is the agency's annual festive fundraiser. This year, all proceeds from the Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth will support Ontario ARC's new program, Pet Connections -- an innovative, multi-facted animal assisted activities and therapy program for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. .
How can I help?
There are two ways people in the community can help us, help others.
Volunteer
Ontario ARC is currently seeking volunteers to wrap presents, decorate packages with bows, and make sure everything is running smoothly at the booth. The booth operates November 25 through December 24 during regular mall hours. Shifts are flexible to meet anyone's scheduling needs and are available in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
Volunteering with the Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth is a great team building activity for businesses and families. Students can also use their volunteer hours towards college credits or activities. Civic organizations, athletic teams, and friends are also encouraged to give their time and volunteer with the booth!
To volunteer contact Suzanne Lijewski at (585) 919-2124.
Sponsorship
Sponsoring Ontario ARC's Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth is a great opportunity for businesses and organizations to reinforce their brand or gain exposure to a new audience. The booth is extremely visbile to mall's clientele from the Finger Lakes region and Rochester area. Your sponsorship puts you in the spotlight, while helping Ontario ARC create great opportunities for children, teens, and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Get Your Gifts Wrapped!
The booth is located in the center of the mall, next to the J.Crew store. We are open during the mall hours and can wrap any package -- big or small. Not only will you be ready for the holidays, but you'll be supporting Ontario ARC.
Tell me about Pet Connection
One of the agency's newest offerings, Pet Connection is a multi-facted animal assisted activities and therapy program that focuses on three areas:
- A facility-based program that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities improve their social and physical skills, as well as provides an outlet for exercise and acceptance.
- A community-based component in which participants will take animals into schools, child care centers and medical facilities.
- Employment opportunities in the field of animal care such as pet groomers and dog walkers.
The benefits of animal assisted tyherapy for people with disabilities are well documented. However, there is a shortage of these programs in Ontario County. This program will fill this need and helps the agency continue creating great opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
