VOCATIONAL ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST
Part time, 20 hr/week
Responsible for performance of community and facility based assessments. Employs a variety of interviewing, testing and observation techniques in the assessment of an individual’s vocational interests, skills, limitations and potential in a vocational setting. Provides both written and verbal feedback to participant, family and referring agents.
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, assessment or related field and over one year of relevant experience. Strong communication and organizational skills essential, previous experience in assessment and/or training of others in a community setting preferred.
Pay Range, $11.13/hr-$13.18/hr
Assistant Director, Fiscal Services
Full time
Salary will be commensurate with experience
The position reports to the Associate Executive Director – CFO. Directs the accounting functions, policies, procedures, and internal controls of the Finance Department. Responsible for the continuous improvement of processes and procedures to provide greater efficiencies and workflow improvement.
Analyzes current and prospective operations to identify opportunities to maximize revenue, reduce expenses, and create efficiencies. Continually review internal controls to protect company assets and ensure safe handling of cash. Responsible for timely completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations. Supervise the department’s supervisors in the areas of payables, receivables, revenue, fixed assets, purchasing and payroll and is responsible for daily production. Directs the accounting functions, policies, procedures, and internal controls of the Finance Department.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, minimum of 4 years accounting experience.
Must have strong supervisory skills, excellent organizational, interpersonal, multi-tasking, managerial, analytical, problem solving and keen attention to detail skills. Experience using accounting software. Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains experience is a plus. Strong Excel skills. Must demonstrate the ability to meet assigned deadlines and to act independently with minimal direction.
Applied Behavioral Specialist
Full time, 40 hours
Salary will be commensurate with experience
Under the supervision of the licensed psychologist, provides psychological services to individuals served by Ontario ARC. Provides consultation services to agency staff. Performs psychological testing and assessment of individuals. Assists in staff training in issues pertaining to behavior management. Develops and assists with implementation of behavior management plans for participants. Provides individual and group counseling. Works with family members and other collaterals to enhance effectiveness of treatment. Observes program policies and procedures to maintain an environment, which promotes the well-being of program participants and the protection of their individual rights, including the right to humane and dignified treatment through the support of agency mission, vision and values. Provides supervision to various on-site Day Hab staff, as needed.
MA/MS Degree in Psychology with over one (1) year of experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred. (QMRP)
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
Must become certified SCIP Instructor within 6 months of employment and maintain certification thereafter.
DRIVER POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Charged with the timely pick up and delivery of Abbey Industries, Eberhardt Center, Recreation and contract services passengers, assuring their safety and providing the necessary supervision and direction to ensure this. Observes agency and program policies and procedures to maintain and protect the individual rights of passengers. Promotes and maintains positive and professional communication.
High school diploma or equivalent, and over one year applicable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. No moving violations for 12 months prior to hire. Valid NYS Commercial Drivers License C with Passenger Endorsement or willing to acquire within thirty (30) days of hire. Must be Department of Motor Vehicles 19-A certifiable. Must participate in mandatory drug and alcohol testing program.
Pay Range, $8.95-$10.57/hr.
DAY HABILITATION ASSISTANT
Provides habilitation support services to individuals, including children, adults and elderly persons with developmental disabilities, generally on a small group or one-to-one basis in a variety of settings. Provides training opportunities designed to enhance each person’s self-sufficiency in the areas of personal independence, community integration and productivity. Promotes the well being of participants and the protection of their individual rights, through the support of agency mission, vision and values. Maintains the confidentiality of participants’ personal information, in accordance with legal requirements
H.S. Diploma and one (1) year relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education and/or experience. Reliable means of transportation and safe driving record.
Pay range, $8.95-$10.57/hr
SKILLS INSTRUCTORS (EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HRS)
Provides training to residential consumers in the activities of daily living skills on an individual and small group basis. Implements individual goals and services recommended by the treatment team, according to methods, time frames, outlined by the Manager. HS diploma and one (1) year experience or equivalent, performing or participating in assessments and service planning for individuals with developmental disabilities. Starting pay range $8.95-$10.57.
PROGRAM SUBSTITUTES
The perfect position for offering a flexible schedule.
Replaces FT residential staff on an as needed basis. Provides supervision and assistance to residential consumers on an individual or small group basis. Observes agency and program policies and procedures to maintain a residential environment that promotes the well being and safety of residents the protection of their individual rights, and the provision of individualized services.
