Dear Members of the Community,

There may be a dip in the economy, but not in holiday spirit.

On behalf of Ontario ARC, I would like to give a big "thank you" to the volunteers and sponsors that supported the agency's annual Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth at the Eastview Mall. With your help, as well as the patronage of countless shoppers, the agency raised more than $19,000 for programs and services that assist people with developmental disabilities.

Our staff works with more than 1,000 individuals, who rely on Ontario ARC for necessary supports, such as residential services, employment counseling, vocational training, clinical support, as well as fun and physical activity through our recreation program. All these programs work towards providing a robust and active lifestyle that otherwise might not be realized. The funds raised from the Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth go towards making this possible.

Every volunteer and patron of our gift wrapping booth gave strength to our goal of providing personalized services that value the quality of life and promote independence for Ontario County residents that need some extra assistance. Ontario ARC has always been extremely fortunate to have a loyal backing of parents, friends, and concerned residents, who year after year, support the agency and its mission and vision. And as we begin 2010 facing uncertainty from Albany, its heart warming and reassuring to know that we have support in our backyard.

Scenes from our Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth

Ontario ARC is currently running its 14th annual Holiday Gift Wrapping Booth at the Eastview Mall in Victor. All proceeds from the booth go to the agency's programs and services not funded by Medicaid. Volunteers from the community will wrap any sized package during the mall's hours of operation. The booth is located next to Clark's.

Creative Expressions graduates Fall 2009 term participants

Ontario ARC's Creative Expressions program will celebrate the graduation of its Fall 2009 term participants on Dec. 14 - Dec. 17. The ceremonies will be held during regularly scheduled times and locations.
