Vocational Services
Supported Employment Abbey Industries Vocational Services provides training, support and modeling of jobs for individuals in Supported Employment. Employment Specialists can provide job training, counseling, on-going vocational support services as well as job development. Vocational alternatives can include working on one of our various manufacturing or recycling enclaves or custodial crews, in addition to working independently in the community. Job development can also include canvassing, to discover where there are job opportunities that meet the individuals needs and desires. Abbey Industries Ontario ARC's Abbey Industries work center provides training for community job placement in manufacturing, as well as an employment option for individuals with developmental, physical, learning and/or mental health disabilities. Services include vocational assessments, school-to-work transition planning, as well as on-going vocational support services.
